An abandoned space, regenerated and transformed into a community center and green oasis in the middle of Mexico City.
19/09/1985:
An devastating earthquake hit Mexico City. Several buildings crumbled, resulting in the loss of lives and heritage within the Multifamiliar Juarez habitational unit and its surroundings.
19/11/2012:
27 years later, La Cuadra A.C., 27 occupies the space with the work and participation of neighbors and collectives. Huerto Roma Verde is born.
19/09/2017:
32 years ago, on the same date as the previous earthquake, another devastating earthquake hit Mexico City. Huerto Roma Verde becomes the largest resilience center in the city, supporting thousands of victims of this tragic event.
